Movement Analysis
The Fireside poets also known as the Schoolroom or Household Poets were a group of poets from the 19th century from New England. Notable for their scholarship and the resilience of their lines and themes, preferred conventional forms over experimentation often used American legends and scenes of American life as their subject matter. The group of five men consisted of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, John Greenleaf Whittier, Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr., James Russell Lowell and William Cullen Bryant.
